2023 Board of Directors Elections

Hudson Valley Credit Union’s Nominating Committee has nominated the following candidates for four open positions in our Board of Directors Election. There were no candidates by petition. Election results will be formally announced at the Annual Meeting on June 26, 2023. 


Candidate #1 – Janine Simon Daughtry (Nominated to serve a 3-year term)

Present & Past Work Experience: Currently, Vice President, Strategy and Operations at Gartner, Inc. Previously served in various Corporate Strategy/Business Development, Operations and Product Marketing roles over the last 20 years, including Executive roles in a variety of industries such as Financial Services /Insurance, Technology and Business Services (e.g. IBM, Xerox, New York Life)
Education: MBA, The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. BS, Mechanical Engineering, Cornell University.
Credit Union Involvement: Member.
Civic Involvement: Currently Member, Board of Directors for Lifting Up Westchester (Audit Committee, Development Committee); Member, Board of Trustees for The Ursuline School in New Rochelle, NY (Chair-Presidential search Task Force, Chair, Advancement Committee, Finance Committee, Governance Committee); and Sustaining Member of President’s Council of Cornell Women (Formerly Vice Chair of Nominating and Alumnae Committees). Previous Member, Board of Directors for Volunteer NY! (2014 – 2017) including Finance and Governance/Nominating Committees, and Previous Member, Board of Directors for My Sisters’ Place (2010 - 2015) including Finance and Nominating Committees.
 

Candidate #2 – Karen McFarlane (Nominated to serve a 3-year term)

Present & Past Work Experience: Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of The Kaye Media Collective. Also Chief Marketing Officer of LetterShop. Previously led global demand generation at Return Path and held positions at Bolt.com and HBO Home Video. Served as adjunct lecturer in Marketing at Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business. Frequent speaker and advisor on inclusive marketing and leadership. Named most notable in marketing and PR by Crain’s Business.
Education: M.B.A., American Intercontinental University. B.S., New York University, with continuing studies in Media Arts and Film. Executive Education Certificate in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion from New York University. Certificate in Conflict Resolution and Management from CALM Dispute Firm.
Credit Union Involvement: HVCU Board Director since January 1, 2023. HVCU Associate Board Member, June - December 2022.
Civic Involvement: Currently Member, Board of Directors for the New York chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA - formerly President for two years, now Chair of DEI Innovation). Member, AMA’s Professional Chapters Council (Chair of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and President-Elect commencing July 2023). Advisor on AMA’s Professional Skills Advisory Council, Leadership & Arts Council and Gender IDEAL. Past board/trustee roles with the VR/AR Association, Jack and Jill of America – Mid Hudson Valley, and Rippowam Cisqua School in Bedford, NY.
 

Candidate #3 – Jay Pantaleo (Nominated to serve a 3-year term)

Present & Past Work Experience: Marist College Associate Dean School of Management, MBA Director, & Professional Lecturer of Decision Sciences. Previous Marist positions include Director of Executive Programs, Director of Finance and Budget, and Assistant Controller. Faculty Advisor to Marist Business Club and Founding Advisor of Marist Women in Business. Previous positions with Loehmann’s in Bronx, NY; BenefitPort in Greenwich, CT; Regeneron Pharmaceuticals in Tarrytown, NY; and Development Alternatives in Bethesda, MD.
Education: MBA, Financial Management, Marist College. Bachelor of Accountancy, The George Washington University.
Credit Union Involvement: Director (July 2022-present), member of the Finance Committee, member of the Compensation & Benefits Committee.
Civic Involvement: Town of East Fishkill Board of Assessment Review 2003-2022. Former Trustee and Director for New York College & Universities Risk Management Group.
 

Candidate #4 – Wesley Lee (Nominated to serve a 2-year term)

Present & Past Work Experience: Currently Assistant Professor of History and Government at Dutchess Community College (DCC). Previous Coordinator of Even Start Family Literacy for the Poughkeepsie City School District; Director of Family Life Services at Poughkeepsie Family Services; Executive Director of the Greenburgh Housing Authority; Resident Initiative Coordinator for the Poughkeepsie Housing Authority; Housing Assistant in NYC Housing Authority; and a Supervisor at Anderson School.
Education: Masters of Public Administration, Marist College. B.S., Political Science, North Carolina A&T State University.
Credit Union Involvement: HVCU Board of Directors 2020 - present; currently member of Compensation and Benefits Committee. HVCU member since 2008, using a variety of savings and loan products.
Civic Involvement: Founder of Save At Risk Children for Corporate America, Inc. (SARCA) in 1996 to help at-risk youth turn their lives around and enter the workforce. Current Board Member of the Poughkeepsie Alliance; Day One Early Learning Community; Youth Opportunity Union (YOU); Dutchess Community College (DCC) President's Advisory Council; DCC Diversity Council; and Vice President of the Dutchess United Educators (DUE) Union, representing Part-Time Educators and Part-Time Non-Teaching Educators.

Top
