As a cooperative we are made up of shareholders, or members, run by a governing Board of Directors. The officers and Directors who serve on the Board are unpaid volunteers who give their time to establish policies and strategies that will help our financial cooperative grow.
An election is held for open Board positions in which members over 18 years of age can vote. Directors serve a 3-year term. Any member can apply for a position on the Board of Directors or a Board Committee. In addition, members can apply to be on our Supervisory Committee. To serve as a volunteer or to get more information, contact us at 845.463.3011.
IBM Poughkeepsie Employees Federal Credit Union began in October 1963 when a group of IBM employees had a vision to create a financial cooperative for employees in Poughkeepsie and Fishkill, and their families— a vision where the needs of the individual would be placed before profit.
Our name has changed over the years, and our assets, products, and services have grown. Our membership has evolved to reflect the changing needs of our surrounding community but our commitment remains the same.
