Hudson Valley Credit Union is deeply vested in our region and proud to support many local charitable organizations - both monetarily and through volunteerism. Hudson Valley employees currently volunteer their time at more than 35 local organizations.
If your Section 501c(3) non-profit organization also contributes towards the quality of life or economic health in the Hudson Valley, and is located in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Orange, Putnam, Rensselaer, Rockland, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, or Westchester County, then we’d like to learn more about how we might help your efforts.
Organization Eligibility
Sponsorship support can be requested for programs and events where the proceeds benefit:
- The Arts and Sciences
- Economic Development
- Educational Issues and Programs
- Health and Human Services
- Municipal Services
Grant support can be considered for local organizations focused on:
- Education – programs that encourage and support higher education or financial literacy
- Food – programs that directly provide food or that are creating innovative ways to provide access to food
- Health – programs that address specific mental, physical, or financial health needs
- Housing – programs that address temporary and permanent housing needs
We are not able to grant funds to the following organizations:
- National organizations, unless their programs have significant local impact
- Religious or sectarian organizations
- Political organizations, candidates, or lobbying efforts
- Purposes that benefit only one individual (e.g. a fund to send one student overseas for study)
Important Notes for Submitting Requests
- Before making any online request, please review our checklist of items you will need to apply. Each request must be completed thoroughly in one entry. The system does not allow you to save requests and return to complete at a later date.
- Sponsorship requests may take 30-60 days for review and are considered on a first-come, first-serve basis throughout the calendar year.
- Grant requests for 2024 will be accepted from February 1 – March 15 and reviewed by a committee for decisions by June 30.
