2026 Annual Meeting

Our Annual Meeting will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026, in the Auditorium of Our Lady of Lourdes High School (131 Boardman Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603). Please register online by 5:00 p.m. ET on Friday, June 19, 2026.

2026 Board of Directors Election

Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union’s Nominations Sub-Committee has nominated the following candidates for four open positions on our Board of Directors. Candidates are listed below in no particular order.

Candidate #1 – Janine Daughtry (Nominated to serve a 3-year term)

Present & Past Work Experience: An executive with more than two decades of cross-industry experience in global corporate strategy, operations, governance, and technology-driven transformation. She is an Advisory Board Member for the Women in AI: Global Innovation Awards. Previously served as Vice President of Strategy and Operations at Gartner and held several senior leadership roles at well-respected institutions, including IBM, Xerox, and New York Life. Named to the 2025 cohort of 50/50 Women to Watch for Boards for her leadership and governance expertise.
Education: Master’s in business administration degree from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Cornell University.
Credit Union Involvement: HVFCU Board Director since 2023. Also, currently serves as the Chair of the Finance Committee. HVFCU Member since 2023.
Civic Involvement: Lifting Up Westchester President, Board of Directors, June 2020 to present, President’s Council of Cornell Women Sustaining, June 2010 to present and Former Vice Chair, Nominating Committee, Former Vice Chair, Alumnae Committee.

Candidate #2 – Kevin Maloney (Nominated to serve a 3-year term)

Present & Past Work Experience: With over 25 years in financial services, he has progressed from foundational roles at major banks into enterprise technology sales, where he has spent over 10 years selling complex software solutions to banks, fintechs, and credit unions across North America. His deep familiarity with the technology that powers modern banking—digital platforms, payments infrastructure, and data / analytics / AI—gives him a clear-eyed view of the opportunities and challenges facing a large credit union today.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from Carleton University in commerce (marketing & operations) and Master of Business Administration degree from York University (strategic management).
Credit Union Involvement: This would be Mr. Maloney’s first term serving as a Board of Director. HVFCU Member since 2025.
Civic Involvement: Board Chair and Club President at the Nereid Boat Club since 2023; Stakeholder Advisory Council – Payments Canada (2023-2024); Board Treasurer of a California nonprofit (2015-2023); Board Director, Cooperative Management Education Co-op – Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary’s University (2016-2018).

Candidate #3 – Karen McFarlane (Nominated to serve a 3-year term)

Present & Past Work Experience: An executive with more than 25 years in Marketing and technology, her strategic vision and governance expertise guide her leadership as founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Kaye Media Partners and participation on community boards – including her seat on the Professional Chapters Council of the American Marketing Association. Additional various leadership roles with organizations such as LetterShop, Smartling, SendGrid, and Braze.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from New York University and a master’s degree from American Intercontinental University. Completed several additional executive programs with Columbia University, the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and Cornell University.
Credit Union Involvement: HVFCU Board Member. Also, currently serves as the Chair of the Compensation & Benefits Committees. HVFCU member since 2023.
Civic Involvement: Gender Ideal, Board of Directors October 2020 to present, American Marketing Association, Chair, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, National Professional Chapter’s Council, 2021 to present; and New York Chapter Board of Directors, 2016 to present.

Candidate #4 – Jay Pantaleo (Nominated to serve a 2-year term)

Present & Past Work Experience: Leadership experiences across business and finance as Marist University’s Associate Dean of the School of Management, Master of Business Administration Director, and Senior Professional Lecturer of Decision Sciences. Prior to his time in higher education, positions held with Loehmann’s, BenefitPort, and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accountancy from George Washington University and master’s degree in business administration from Marist University.
Credit Union Involvement: HVFCU Board Member, serving as the Chair since 2023. HVFCU member for 40+ years.
Civic Involvement: HVFCU Foundation Board Member, Town of Poughkeepsie Board of Assessment Review member.

In addition to the candidates nominated above, any HVFCU member aged 18 or older may petition for a position on our Board of Directors. Petition forms are available as of April 1, 2026, and can be requested by calling 845.463.3011, option 1, ext. 3710. Your completed petition, signed by a minimum of 500 current members, must be received no later than 5 p.m. ET on Friday, May 12, 2026, at P.O. Box 1071, Poughkeepsie, NY 12602. The solicitation of signatures on credit union property is not permitted and will invalidate a petition. Completed petitions will not be accepted at any HVFCU office. Should a petition candidate timely and fully satisfy all of the requirements, the petition candidate will be eligible to run against the candidates selected by the Nominations Sub-Committee. Election ballots will be sent to eligible members in late May 2026. The four candidates receiving the highest vote totals will be elected with terms determined by plurality of votes received (e.g., the highest three totals will each serve a three-year term).

If there are no petition candidates, there will be no ballot as the number of nominees equals the number of positions to be filled and no nominations from the floor are permissible. Results will be announced at the Annual Meeting on Monday, June 22, 2026.
