Members have overwhelmingly voted to approve our application for a Federal charter. We appreciate everyone who took the time to vote online or phone as well as those who attended the special meeting on September 30, 2025. Your participation in our cooperative is vital. We expect the transition to occur on or around January 1, 2026, subject to final regulatory approval.
As a reminder, we will continue to operate as Hudson Valley Credit Union, which means all signage, members’ checks, as well as your debit and credit card will remain the same. There is also no need to change account numbers.
New members can join HVCU if they are affiliated with one of three organizations - the HVCU Charitable Foundation, the American Consumer Council, or the Community Impact Fund. Employees of the credit union as well as immediate relatives of current members may also join our cooperative.
