HVCU and our leasing partner, Credit Union Leasing of America (CULA), make the lease maturity process simple and easy. About four months before your lease maturity date, you'll receive a letter from CULA, including instructions on how to turn in your vehicle.
You Have Options
- Keep It - If you love what you're driving now, and don’t want the hassle of searching for a new vehicle (or low inventory), you can stick with us. Applying for a loan is easy. Plus, our rates are low and we have an option to delay your first payment up to 90 days*. The decision doesn’t get much easier than that!
- Trade It - If you’re ready for something different, you can also trade in your vehicle and get a new lease or loan with us.

Returning Your Car to CULA & CULA Resources
CULA offers the convenience of picking up your leased vehicle from your home or office. CULA’s transport company works directly with you to arrange a pick-up day and time that works with your schedule. Q. Should I make repairs to my vehicle prior to turning it in?
A. No, please review all options with a CULA representative. You may have a wear and tear insurance policy in your lease agreement that allows CULA to waive up to $1,000 in wear and tear.
Q. Can the vehicle be driven until my termination date?
A. Yes, as long as you have current registration and insurance.
Q. Will additional fees accrue if the vehicle is not picked up by my termination date?
A. No, as long as you call CULA by your termination date with the mileage and all payments have been made, the turn in process is completed and all fees stop accruing.
Q. How long does it take to pick up the vehicle?
A. In most cases, the transport company can arrange the pickup within 2-3 days depending on your availability.
Q. Does it cost me anything to have CULA pick up the vehicle?
A. No, it does not.
Q. Can the vehicle be picked up prior to my termination date?
A. Yes, as long as the vehicle has been inspected and all monthly payments have been made.
