Eligibility
The Sweepstakes is open to all individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry. Employees, officers, directors, volunteers of the Credit Union and its affiliates, as well as their immediate family members and household members, are not eligible to enter or win.
Membership at Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union is not required to enter or win. If you wish to become a member, there are several ways to join, including via the Credit Union Charitable Foundation, as an immediate family member or co-resident of an existing Credit Union member, as a Credit Union employee, or through approved affiliated organizations such as the Community Impact Fund or the American Consumer Council. This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
Sweepstakes Period
The Sweepstakes begins Monday, February 23, 2026, and entries must be received no later than Saturday, March 28, 2026 (“Sweepstakes Period”). The final drawing will be conducted on Monday, March 30, 2026, using all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period.
How to Enter
You may enter the Sweepstakes in either of the following ways:
A. In-Branch Entry (Primary Method)
Visit the Credit Union’s New Paltz Branch located at 29 Main St, New Paltz, NY 12561 during the Sweepstakes Period and complete the official entry form. Limit one (1) entry per person, regardless of method. Incomplete, late, misdirected, or illegible entries will not be accepted.
B. Mail-in Alternative Method of Entry (AMOE)
To enter without visiting the branch, mail a handwritten postcard with your name, address, telephone number, and email address to:

Mail-in entries must be postmarked by March 23, 2026 and received by March 28, 2026. Limit one entry per person.
Entries received through both methods are treated equally.
Prize Description and Drawing
Five (5) prizes will be awarded in total. The prizes and their Approximate Retail Values (ARV) are:
- Week 1 Prize: [Handmade and More Cozy Wearables Bundle – branded tote bag, handmade soaps, wind chimes, New Paltz coffee mug, hat and mittens set], Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) $120
- Week 2 Prize: [Manny’s Art Supply Gift Set – branded T-shirt (size L), five handmade sketch pads, sketching starter kit, fountain pen], ARV $50
- Week 3 Prize: [Mudd Puddle Coffee Roasters Merch Pack – branded tote bag, branded beanie, branded golf hat, handmade mug, coffee beans], ARV $75
- Week 4 Prize: [ New Paltz Cinemas Movie Bundle – four $25 gift cards and popcorn sleeves], ARV $115
- Week 5 Prize: [A Taste of New Paltz – Four $50 gift cards to local eateries (Bacchus Restaurant, Brewery & Billiards; Main Course; Underground Coffee and Grill, Lola’s Cafe), shirt from Main Course, assorted mixed chocolates from Krause’s Chocolates, pickles, hot sauces, and shirt from Frank’s Fresh Pickles], ARV $275
- Total ARV of all prizes: $635
Each Monday (March 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30, 2026), the Credit Union will conduct a random drawing from among all eligible entries received to date.
Winners do not need to be present to win. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
Prizes are non-transferable and may not be substituted except at the Credit Union’s sole discretion.
Winner Notification and Requirements
The Credit Union will notify each selected winner via telephone or email. Winners must respond and claim their prize within five (5) days of notification. Failure to respond or claim the prize will result in forfeiture, and an alternate winner may be selected.
Prizes must be claimed in person at the Credit Union’s New Paltz Branch located at 29 Main St, New Paltz, NY 12561. The Credit Union will not ship prizes. Winners must pick up their prize within five (5) days of notification unless otherwise arranged with the Credit Union. Failure to pick up the prize within this period will result in forfeiture and selection of an alternate winner.
Prior to prize award, winners may be asked to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility and a Publicity Release (optional). Consent to publicity is not required to receive the prize.
Taxes
All federal, state, and local taxes associated with the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. Prizes may be subject to IRS Form 1099 reporting.
Privacy and Communications
Information collected from entrants is subject to the Credit Union’s Privacy Policy, available at https://www.hvcu.org/privacy-policy. By entering, you acknowledge you are providing your information to the Sponsor for the purpose of administering this sweepstakes.
- The entry form provides an option to consent to receive marketing emails from the Credit Union. Consenting to receive marketing emails is optional and will not affect your chances of winning. You may unsubscribe at any time.
General Conditions
The Credit Union reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Sweepstakes if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor impairs the integrity of the promotion. In such events, the Credit Union may award prizes from among all eligible entries received prior to the action.
The Credit Union is not responsible for:
- lost, late, or misdirected entries
- technical or mechanical errors
- unauthorized human intervention
- any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising from participation or prize acceptance
Disputes
All issues concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York.
