Call for Supervisory Committee and Nominations Sub-Committee Volunteers
Are you a critical thinker with a passion for oversight and accountability? Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently seeking volunteers to serve on our Supervisory Committee and Nominations Sub-Committee – both vital components of our commitment to transparency, financial soundness, and regulatory compliance.
Supervisory Committee
The Supervisory Committee helps ensure HVCU operates responsibly, meets regulatory standards, and maintains strong internal controls. It oversees financial reporting, risk management, and the performance of internal and external auditors, while also reviewing unresolved member concerns. Ideal candidates bring experience or interest in financial oversight, including knowledge of auditing practices (such as GAAP), risk assessment, legal and regulatory frameworks, or organization governance. Integrity, sound judgment, and a collaborative mindset are essential.

Nominations Sub-Committee
The Nominations Sub-Committee is responsible for overseeing the volunteer recruitment and nomination process. Through a working partnership with the Board and all committees, the NSC cultivates a volunteer pipeline and screening process to ensure that appointed volunteers have the skills, knowledge and attributes necessary to represent the diversity of HVCU’s communities and provide effective governance.
